What do Wardway Homes and sewing machines have in common? Well, according to this article (from ForWard Magazine, 1930), Mrs. Wendt of Barrington, Illinois stated that her Montgomery Ward sewing machine (and its payment plan) worked so well, she decided to make another purchase: A house!

After the Wendt family finished building their Wardway (The Newport), observers were so impressed with its quality that two more Wardway homes were sold.
